Add, edit, delete or move your gifts. Let’s show you how.
1. Adding a gift
Open a new tab and find a gift you would like to add to your list (from any website). Once you have found a gift you fancy, copy the URL from your browser's address bar and return to Marriage Gift List. Click the link “Add a gift” and a popup will appear - paste the URL into the box provided and click submit.
We do our best to grab as much information about the gift as possible, but if you are missing any of the data required, this will be highlighted. Some websites don’t allow us to grab the image of the gift, in which case you may need to upload this manually by clicking the upload image button. Once you are happy with all the information entered - click “Add this gift”. The gift will be added to the bottom of your list.
2. Editing a gift
To edit a gift, click the pencil icon and a familiar popup will appear. You can change the title, price, quantity, message and image. Click save changes and the gift will update on your list.
3. Deleting a gift
If you would like to delete a gift, click on the trash icon and a confirmation popup will appear. Click “Remove gift” to confirm.
If the trash icon does not appear on specific gifts, this is because the gift has already been purchased. If you wish to delete a gift even though it has been purchased, you will first need to remove the gift purchase by going to the “Thank you manager”. Find the guest that purchased the gift and click on the arrow to reveal the purchase information. Click the cross icon to remove the gift purchase (this will make it available on your list again). Once you have done this you will see that the trash icon now appears, allowing you to permanently delete the gift.
4. Moving a gift
If you would like to move a gift to a certain location in your list - simply click the move icon and drag to the position you would like it to appear. This position will save automatically.
Please note - moving a gift is not possible on your phone or tablet, we apologies for the inconvenience.
4. Opening / closing your list
You can show or hide your gift list from your guests at any time. Simply click the "List open" or "List closed" switch. If your list is closed, guests will not be able to access your list to purchase gifts.
